Ellen Groves, Program Coach
Hi everyone! I attended Central Missouri State University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and Speech Communication. Immediately following I began the Graduate Program in Education at Lindenwood University in St. Charles. During this time I was offered a wonderful opportunity to work with at-risk youth at an alternative education facility where I grew to love helping others. I spent two years working with high school aged youth assisting them with every day issues and then moved on to work with non-traditional college age students, again assisting them with day to day concerns. Most recently I have spent time working with a non-profit youth organization that teaches kids to give back to their communities through service and mentoring. I have become a new mommy this past year and love spending time with my family. I am very excited to come on board with St. Louis Life and look forward to getting to know you all!

Diane Delf, Program Coach
My name is Diane Delf and I am a St. Louis native. Despite my Missouri roots, I attended the University of Kansas and obtained a bachelors degree in Human Biology. During my years in Kansas, I was very active in Natural Ties, a program created to build friendships between college students and members of the community with developmental disabilities. My involvement in the community and commitment to Natural Ties, as well as similar organizations, led me to the Program Coordinator position. It is a great honor and privilege to be able to serve on the St. Louis Life team where we all share a similar passion for people and life. I look forward to meeting every one of you!

Shawn Riley, Program Coach
My name is Shawn Riley and I have recently graduated with a Bachelors of Social Work from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. I have been working at McDonald's for the past 8 years and have come across many different kinds of people, including a co-worker with special needs. He and I get along great together and he showed me how loving and caring people with special needs truly are. My wife and I have recently built a house in the community and are looking forward to starting a family in O'Fallon. I look forward to meeting and getting to know everyone when we finally open our doors.

Matthew Conover, Program Coach
My name is Matt Conover and my first exposure to the field of special education was in the early 90's working as a 6th grade summer camp counselor for students with learning disabilities and behavior disorders. After a few years of soul searching, I decided to pursue a degree in Special Education. I completed a BS in Special Education from Fontbonne University and am currently enrolled at Missouri Baptist University, pursuing a Master's of Teaching degree. I was a resource teacher and English teacher for special needs students for 4 years at Pattonville High School. During that time, I also co-developed a community access program at DePaul Hospital that focused on job exploration for special needs students. Each student would work as a volunteer in various areas of the hospital to gain work experience. For the last 3 years I have worked in the Career Training Program for Special School District of St. Louis County. I teach and supervise 8 to 10 special needs young adults at the VA Medical Center, Jefferson Barracks. The focus of the program is to develop independent living skills, and job skills for future employment. The students go through an assessment, job development, and placement from an employment support agency before leaving the program. I feel my experience and passion for this population will be an asset to St. Louis Life.
